This Privacy Policy explains how Focus Pomodoro handles user data. The app is designed to work primarily on your device and does not require account registration.
1. Data We Access and Store
Focus Pomodoro stores the following information locally on your device so the app can work properly:
- Task information you create, such as task names, estimated pomodoros, and completion status.
- Pomodoro session history, such as session start time, end time, duration, and type.
- App settings, such as focus duration, break duration, sound, vibration, and reminder preferences.
2. Data We Do Not Collect From You
Focus Pomodoro does not currently collect or transmit the following to the developer:
- Name, email address, phone number, or account credentials.
- Precise location, contacts, messages, photos, audio recordings, or camera data.
- Advertising identifiers, analytics events, crash analytics, or personalized ad data.
- Your tasks or session history to a developer-operated remote server.
3. How We Use Data
The app uses your data only to provide core app features, including:
- Displaying and managing your tasks.
- Running the timer and switching between focus and break sessions.
- Saving your preferences.
- Generating a CSV export when you choose to export your data.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data and we do not share your locally stored app data with third parties for advertising or analytics.
If you choose to export your data, the exported file is created on your device and may be shared by you using Android system sharing features. That sharing happens only after your direct action.
5. Permissions
The app currently requests the following Android permission:
- VIBRATE: used to provide timer and switch vibration feedback when enabled in settings.
6. Local Storage and Security
App data is stored in the private storage area provided by Android for this app. This helps protect the data from unauthorized access by other apps under normal Android security rules.
No security method can guarantee absolute protection, but we aim to minimize privacy risk by keeping app data local whenever possible.
7. Exported Files
If you use the export feature, a CSV file may be written to your device's Downloads folder. Files in Downloads are under your control and may remain there until you delete them manually.
8. Backup and Restore
Depending on your Android device and system settings, the operating system may back up some app data as part of Android backup or device transfer features. Any such backup is managed by the platform provider under your device settings.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
Data created in the app stays on your device until you delete it, clear app storage, or uninstall the app.
- You can delete tasks within the app.
- You can remove exported files from your device manually.
- Uninstalling the app generally removes app-private local data from the device.
10. Children's Privacy
Focus Pomodoro is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. If the app's target audience changes in the future, this policy should be updated accordingly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect app changes, legal requirements, or Google Play policy requirements. The updated version will replace the previous version once published.
